Abstract
Namen mojega diplomskega dela je izdelava cenovno ugodnega in dovolj zmogljivega sistema za testiranje povezovanja po protokolu točka - točka preko Etherneta (angl. Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet-PPPoE) povezave. PPPoE je omrežni protokol za ovijanje okvirjev od točke do točke (angl. Point-to-Point Protocol-PPP). Obstajajo testne aparature, ki to omogočajo, vendar so cenovno veliko dražje od moje aparature. Produkt diplomskega dela je zanesljiv sistem, ki omogoča testiranje PPPoE seje. Dobil sem ga za nalogo pri praktičnem usposabljanju, v slovenskem podjetju Siol, kjer sem ga uspešno ustvaril. Sistem je zgrajen na miniaturnem računalniku z imenom Raspberry Pi. Nanj sem namestil skripto z ustrezno programsko kodo, ki sem jo napisal za testiranje PPPoE seje. Sistem sem dopolnil še s prikazovalnikom rezultatov in grafov, s katerim je možen vpogled v rezultate meritev in grafov.

Title:Device for testing of PPPoE connection
Abstract:
The aim of my thesis is to produce an affordable and powerful enough system of testing connectivity, according to the Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) connection. PPPoE is a network protocol for encapsulating Point-to-Point frames (Point-to-Point Protocol - PPP). There are other test apparatus, which make this possible, but at higher prices than my apparatus. The product of this thesis is a reliable system that allows for testing of PPPoE sessions. I was given the task of developing this during practical training at the Slovenian company Siol, where I successfully did so. The system is built on a Raspberry Pi miniature computer. On it, I have installed the script, with the appropriate software code, that I wrote for testing PPPoE sessions. I then added a results and graphs display, which gives insight into measurements results and graphs.
