Abstract

Title:DEVELOPMENT, DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A SYSTEM FOR ANALYSIS OF NEUROMUSCULAR CAPABILITES OF A HAND DURING HUMAN-MACHINE COMMUNICATION
Abstract:
Various neuromuscular degenerative diseases can be monitored through motor responses while some cognitive tasks is being preformed. Most often motor activity of hands is used and is combined with simulataneous monitorng of brain activity for efficient analysis and diagnosis of the status of the disease. Brain activity is often monitored with electroencephalography while motor activity requires various types of active or passive mechanical devices. In the frame of the diploma thesis we have developed, designed and constructed a prototype of a device for measuring motor activity of a hand. The device have freely adjustable force of a button that is used to communicate a response on some cognitive task. The force is constant over the entire button stroke.
