On the basis of examination and analysis a new disassembling wooden joint was developed. Using this disassembling wooden joint a new product, STOOL, was manufactured with a special emphasis on its aesthetic look and mechanical properties. We were interested how strong and durable such a disassembling chair is, therefore, we tested it according to standard SIST EN 1728:02. To make a comparison more easily, a chair with a classically glued doweled joint was also made. By testing we found out that disassembling stools satisfy standard demands, and as regard durability can be compared to classical modern stools.
