The thesis presents the process of the investment project for multiapartment buildings, with
the emphasis to the cost analysis of the project. This analysis is the basis for defining
production cost and selling price of the building. Through analysing a case study, measures
leading to optimal balance among three key factors of project – quality, cost and time – will
be proposed. These recommendations will ensure better project management, and
consequently improved business success. In the concluding part of the thesis, possible
strategies of selling price for multiapartment buildings, that result in the business success of a
project, are presented.
The core of the thesis is captured in the second part where planned and actual costs for
construction of multiapartment complex »Grapovčnik« in Logatec are analysed. The results of
the analysis show that well prepared project documentation is crucial for the business success
of the project, as this is the only way we can predict the construction costs and prepare
optimised (project schedule) plan of a project.
