Abstract

Abstract:
In the surroundings of Domžale and Trzin there are a lot of remains of transitional marshes, with very specific vegetation. This is the only environment in the surroundings of Domţale and Trzin, that is suitable for growth of bug-eating or otherwise called carnivorous plants, in this case for growing of two species of sundews (roundleaf and oblong-leaved sundew). Majority of these habitats are endangered because of human activity or inactivity and because of the changing site conditions. That is why we wanted to find out, which habitats are suitable for growing roundleaf and oblong-leaved sundews. The research was conducted with the aid of the Braun-Blanquet method of recording of plant communities on demo surfaces with adapted sizes (because of the diversity of the habitats) and with the aid of the computer software for recording plant communities FloVegSi. The plant community recordings were carried out on 15 different locations in the surroundings of Domţale and Trzin. We found out that 6 areas in the vicinity of Domžale and Trzin are potencial growing sites for roundleaf and oblong-leaved sundews, and at 2 of those areas we actually found sundews, but all of those habitats are endangered because of the changing water regime and overgrowing with taller plants.
