Abstract
Učiteljice v laični šoli Druge španske republike / Maestras en la escuela láica de la Segunda repúblika española Magistrsko delo obravnava tematiko učiteljic v času Druge republike, ko je v Španiji zavel veter demokracije. Na podlagi različnih virov in literature delo skuša prikazati, kakšna je bila vloga učiteljic v tem demokratičnem obdobju, kako so dosegle preboj v javno sfero in kaj se je dogajalo z njimi v zasebnem življenju. Za lažje razumevanje delovanja učiteljic je predstavljen zgodovinski okvir, ki osvetli politično dogajanje v obdobju pred Drugo republiko in v času Druge republike. Ravno tako delo vsebuje različne zakone in ustavo, ki utemeljuje novo obdobje. Poleg tega delo vsebuje primerjavo delovanja španskih in slovenskih učiteljic, podobnosti in razlike ter literarno analizo avtobiografskega romana, ki obravnava temo javnega šolstva v času Druge republike in v obliki romana s fiktivnimi elementi prikaže zgodovino ter različne osebnosti, ki poosebljajo politične in socialne spremembe, ki so nastale v tem šestletnem obdobju.

Teachers in the laic school of the Second Spanish Republic
Abstract:
Teachers in the laic school of the Second Spanish Republic / Maestras en la escuela láica de la Segunda república española Masters thesis deals with the topic of female teachers during the period of the Second Republic, when Spain caught wind of democracy. Basing off of different sources and literature, the thesis attempts to showcase the role of female teachers during this democratic period, how they broke into public sphere and what went on in their personal lives. In order to fully comprehend how female teachers operated during the chosen time period, the thesis firstly presents the time frame, showcasing the political activities within the periods before and during the Second Republic, as well as the laws and constitution in place at the time, which determined the new era. Onward follows the comparison between Spanish and Slovenian female teachers, how they operated during that time period, looking for any similarities and differences. Third and last part of the thesis consists of the literary analysis of an autobiography, which deals with the topic of public school during the period of the Second Republic and uses fictive elements to represent history and different personalities to personify political and social changes, which came about during this six year period.
