Abstract
Travišča so eni največjih kopenskih ekosistemov, ki nudijo pomembne ekosistemske storitve in predstavljajo žarišča biotske raznovrstnosti. V Sloveniji in Evropi se površina in biotska raznovrstnost naravovarstveno pomembnih habitatov travišč manjša, zaradi dejavnikov kot so intenzifikacija kmetijstva, urbanizacija, opuščanje kmetijske rabe in drugih. Z uporabo naravovarstvenih ukrepov se ti habitati ohranjajo v ugodnem stanju. V primeru degradacije habitata, kjer značilne travniške vrste izginejo ali so iztrebljene, je za obnovo in ponoven vnos vrste v prejšnje ali novo življenjsko okolje potrebna reintrodukcija. Za uspešen ponoven vnos vrste je potrebna dobra zasnova reintrodukcijskega procesa, ki vključuje ustrezno izbiro in pripravo lokacije, uporabo kakovostnega razmnoževalnega materiala, primerno metodo vnašanja vrst ter nadaljnjo gospodarjenje po vnosu in monitoring. Zasnova je za vsak projekt specifična, saj je odvisna od zahtev vrste in lastnosti habitata. V diplomski nalogi so predstavljeni naravovarstveni ukrepi za ohranjanje in obnovo travišč, načela reintrodukcije travniških vrst rastlin v naravovarstveno pomembne habitate in obnove združb ter potek in metode ponovnega vnašanja travniških rastlin.

Title:Reintroduction of grassland species in high nature value types of grassland
Abstract:
Grasslands are among the largest terrestrial ecosystems, providing essential ecosystem services and serving as biodiversity hotspots. In Slovenia and Europe, the area and biodiversity of high nature value grassland habitats are declining due to factors such as agricultural intensification, urbanization, abandonment of agricultural practices and others. Conservation measures are used to maintain these habitats in a favorable condition. In cases where habitat degradation occurs, resulting in the disappearance or extinction of characteristic grassland species, reintroduction is necessary for restoration and introduction of the species into their former or new habitat. Successful species reintroduction requires a well-designed reintroduction process, including appropriate site selection and preparation, use of high-quality reproductive material, suitable reintroduction methods, and application of post reintroduction management and monitoring. Each project requires a specific design, depending on the species' requirements and habitat characteristics. This thesis presents conservation measures for the conservation and restoration of grasslands, principles of reintroduction of grassland plant species into high nature value habitats and community restoration, as well as the process and methods for reintroducing grassland plants.
