Abstract
Vgrajene naprave se pogosto uporabljajo v kritičnih sistemih. To nas vedno znova postavi pred vprašanje zanesljivosti. Delujejo namreč povsem samostojno in pričakujejo neposreden dostop do strojne opreme. V diplomski nalogi bomo ustvarili nadzornika navideznih strojev.

Title:
Static virtual machine monitor for the RISC-V processor architecture
Abstract:
Embedded devices are often used in mixed-criticallity systems. This always raises a concern about reliability. Mixed-criticallity systems require very high levels of reliability. It is common sense that a bug in some application should not compromise the whole system. That is why we try to isolate applications while keeping the functionality unchanged. We also have to keep in mind that embedded applications are bare-metal. Such applications are completely independent and they expect full access to hardware. We are going to create a virtual machine monitor (hypervisor) which is a special kind of operating system. It ensures applications are run in a virtual environment. Applications are completely oblivious to this change. This way virtual machine monitor retains full control of the system and achieves high levels of reliability.
