The core of teaching or lecturing hasn't changed much for hundreds of years. In all this time, however, new tools have emerged to empower lecturers and make their work easier. This Master's thesis presents one such tool, that has been increasingly used in recent years, the lecture recording system.
The first part presents the design of the lecture recording system and the creation of a functional prototype that embeds itself into existing Arnes services, so it can offer the end-users - the lecturers as best and stress-free experience of use as possible.
The main part of the paper presents an evaluation of the user experience when using such a system, and a comparison with the lecture recording system, currently used by many lecturers. This section presents the preparation for the evaluation and the implementation of the study in a real environment.
The last part presents the results, obtained after the analysis. It also presents the findings, obtained from observers during the study. At the end are conclusions and suggested improvements for the newly developed system.
