Today, manufacturers of dental materials in the technical documentation and certificates on the quality of the materials state their chemical composition, mechanical properties, processability and in individual cases also aesthetic characteristics, while in most cases there is no data on the thermal properties.
As part of the master's degree, we measured the thermal properties of selected dental materials manufactured in the laboratories of Slovenian companies and higher education institutions in accordance with the ISO 22007-2 standard at room temperature and at elevated temperatures.
In our work, we used one of the highest-quality instruments for determining thermal properties, the Hot Disk TPS 2200, and conducted a study and performance evaluation of this device.
