The cargo transported in the container must be properly secured and secured, and the persons
carrying out the loading and securing of the cargo must be trained and aware of all dangers and
must include in their work process all safety precautions required for this work. Freight carriers,
whether road carriers, railways and shipowners, also have their responsibility, as they have to
prepare and adjust their route and means of transport so that the cargo in the container will not
be exposed to any dangers. Dissertation will begin with a description of how different forces
act on a container. In this chapter, mainly focus on the behavior of the container on the ship. I
will then describe the different types of container transport, where I will focus most on
transporting the container by road, rail and sea. I will also present some different manuals and
guidelines that different companies that deal with fastening and loading cargo into a container
follow. In my degree I will continue with a description of different types of containers according
to size, I will describe the fastening and lashing equipment, types of cargo and how to load
different cargo into the container and attachment points in the container according to the cargo.
In the last chapter I will perform five calculations which will tell the required force which will
ensure the stability of the cargo in the container and the maximum forces under which the
various lashing and fastening equipment can still withstand.
