Abstract
Naloga predlaga idejni načrt urbane prenove Bežigrajske soseske 3 (BS3) z novo ureditvijo zunanjih prostorov, pritličnih delov stavb in dopolnilno gradnjo z mešanimi programi.

Title:The Future of Post-war Residential Neighborhoods: A Visionary Plan for the Urban Regeneration of Bežigrad Neighborhood 3 in Ljubljana
Abstract:
The assignment proposes a visionary plan for the urban regeneration of Bežigrajska soseska 3 (BS3) with a new arrangement of outdoor spaces, ground floors and additional construction with mixed programs. The conceptual design is based on the reinforcement of the already set and unrealized visions of the neighborhood, and it is defined to those areas that have the potential for upgrading. The dominant residential program is maintained, while the arrangement of the external spaces focuses on the reorganization of moving and stationary traffic in a more pedestrian-friendly form and withdrawing it from the best parts of the neighborhood. Complementing and enriching the neighborhood with new programs, urban regulations and additional facilities are regulated in appropriate proportions. The additional construction introduces a program that is necessary for the wider environment and responds to the urban starting points that are present in the neighborhood. The exterior arrangements take into account the individual characteristics of the main streets in the neighborhood and the immediate proximity of the culturally and historically important path "Pot ob žici", which runs through the neighborhood. The solution represents an upgrade and offers the possibility for a more suitable use of internal and external spaces, with the aim of ensuring better living conditions, better use of space and upgrading of the community among residents.
