Master thesis attempts to outline the women's perspective of their position in the public sphere of the Slovenian lands at the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. An important role in the formation of these positions was played by women intellectuals, who in both public and private texts reflected on the position of women in public and the obstacles that prevented women from a greater role in the public sphere. Through the prism of newspaper articles and letters, an insight into public and social events, conflicts, criticisms, achievements and challenges faced by women is shown, as well as an outline of their activities that contributed to the co-creation of the Slovenian-speaking social environment.
