This master's thesis provides a modern genealogical overview of the Lamberg family, one of Carniola's most important noble families. Based on a revision of the already known and the involvement of new sources, the division of the family into four main lines is explained. These are named after their castles of Ortnek, Kamen, Boštanj and Črnelo. The thesis details all members of the last three lines, going as far as the seventh and tenth generations in the case of the Ortnek line. The timeframe covered spans from the late medieval origins to the start of the 20th century when the last member of the Kamen line died. Their familial relations, holdings, and political activity are presented in a clear and verifiable manner. Special attention is also paid to their tombstones.
