Abstract
Družina je prvi socialni svet, s katerim se srečata deček in deklica, njeni družinski člani pa so ogledalo, v katerem se dečki in dekleta vidijo. Zato je družina eden prvih in najpomembnejši dejavnikov socializacije, zlasti v prvih letih življenja. Družina uvaja dečke in dekleta v intimne in osebne odnose ter jim omogoča prve izkušnje z zunanjim svetom in družbo. Družina je prva referenčna skupina, oziroma prva skupina, ki norme in vrednote otrok sprejme za svoje in se nanje sklicuje, da sodi o sebi. Družina je tudi sfera kulturnega in družbenega življenja, kjer se najprej naučijo katere vrednote in norme veljajo za družbeno sprejemljive in primerne glede na njihov spol. Šola je poleg družine, medijev in drugih socializacizatorjev spolov, še eden pomembnih in glavnih dejavnikov socializacije spolov. Zaradi procesa družbene in zgodovinske konstrukcije so bile moškim in ženskam pripisane različne vloge in pričakovanja. To vodi v hierarhijo med njimi in vzpostavlja neenakosti. Družina in šola predstavljata dva različna konteksta, kjer je učenje temeljno razvito v naši družbi, dobra kohezija obeh kontekstov pa tvori bistveno povezavo za razvoj otrok.

Title:FAMILY AND SCHOOL AS FACTORS IN THE SOCIALIZATION OF CHILDREN AND THE SHAPING OF THEIR SEXUAL IDENTITY
Abstract:
The family is the first social world that a boy and a girl meet, and its family members are the mirror in which boys and girls see themselves. Therefore, the family is one of the first and most important factors of socialization, especially in the first years of life. The family introduces boys and girls to intimate and personal relationships and provides them with their first experiences with the outside world and society. The family is the first reference group, that is, the first group that accepts the norms and values ​​of children as its own and refers to them to judge itself. The family is also the sphere of cultural and social life, where they first learn which values ​​and norms are considered socially acceptable and suitable according to their gender. In addition to the family, the media and other gender socializers, school is another important and main factor in gender socialization. Due to a process of social and historical construction, men and women have been assigned different roles and expectations. This leads to a hierarchy between them and establishes inequalities. Family and school represent two different contexts where learning is fundamentally developed in our society, and the good cohesion of both contexts forms an essential link for children's development.
