Abstract
Uporaba obnovljivih virov, kot sta geotermalna in sončna energija, namreč zmanjšujejo emisije CO₂, CH₄ in N₂O, kar vodi k bolj trajnostnemu in okolju prijaznemu kmetovanju.

Title:Use of heat pumps and solar panels to achieve neutrality and self-sufficiency in agriculture
Abstract:
The aim of this work is to investigate the impact of renewable energy sources on reducing the carbon footprint of farms and increasing energy self-sufficiency. In addition to the financial benefits, these technologies also contribute significantly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Indeed, the use of renewable energy sources such as geothermal and solar energy reduces CO₂, CH₄ and N₂O emissions, leading to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture. The choice of appropriate technology is tailored to the specific needs of each farm to achieve optimal performance and maximum benefit. On the selected farm, the introduction of a solar system and a heat pump significantly reduced monthly energy costs. Although the initial investments are high, they have proven to be financially viable as they will pay for themselves in a few years through the annual net savings. The results of the survey confirm that renewable energy sources are key to the long-term development of agriculture, as they increase energy independence, reduce costs and contribute to environmental protection.
