Abstract
Metode dela: Pri pisanju našega diplomskega dela sva uporabili deskriptivno metodo in sicer sistematični pregled literature. Uporabili sva strokovne članke, katere sva našli na različnih podatkovnih bazah, kot so PubMed, PubMed Central, Google Učenjak, SpringerLink. Iskanje strokovne literature je potekalo od novembra 2023 do aprila 2024. Rezultati: D-SPECT prispeva k boljšemu kliničnemu odločanju, prilagojenemu načrtovanju zdravljenja in na koncu izboljšanim rezultatom bolnikov. Njegova integracija v klinično prakso pomeni pomemben korak naprej na področju nuklearne kardiologije in obljublja prihodnost, kjer bo slikanje srca hitrejše, natančnejše in bolj dostopno. Razprava in zaključek: Z analizo člankov sva ugotovili da, sistem D-SPECT predstavlja pomemben napredek v nuklearni kardiologiji, saj ponuja vrsto prednosti, ki povečujejo diagnostično natančnost in udobje bolnika. S svojo inovativno zasnovo, vključno s polprevodniškimi detektorji in naprednimi algoritmi za slikanje, D-SPECT zagotavlja vrhunsko kakovost slike in ločljivost v primerjavi z običajnimi sistemi SPECT

Title:The role of semiconductor detectors in nuclear medicine cardiology : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Nuclear medicine examinations in cardiology are non-invasive examinations performed after the application of radiopharmaceuticals. D-SPECT is a specialized cardiac camera with a solid CZT detector. The high performance of dedicated cardiovascular CZT cameras is a result of the integration of solid-state semiconductor detectors, the choice of heart-focused collimators, and geometric adjustments, as well as improvements in image reconstruction. With proper use of the D-SPECT camera, high-quality images can be achieved with lower RF doses and shorter imaging times. Purpose: The purpose of our thesis is to present the D-SPECT camera and its role in nuclear medicine cardiology through a systematic literature review. Methods: In writing our thesis, we used the descriptive method, namely a systematic literature review. We used scholarly articles found in various databases such as PubMed, PubMed Central, Google Scholar, and SpringerLink. The search for scholarly literature took place from November 2023 to April 2024. Results: D-SPECT contributes to better clinical decision-making, tailored treatment planning, and ultimately improved patient outcomes. Its integration into clinical practice represents a significant step forward in the field of nuclear cardiology and promises a future where heart imaging will be faster, more accurate, and more accessible. Discussion and Conclusion: By analyzing articles, we have found that the D-SPECT system represents a significant advancement in nuclear cardiology, as it offers a range of advantages that enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient comfort. With its innovative design, including semiconductor detectors and advanced imaging algorithms, D-SPECT provides superior image quality and resolution compared to conventional SPECT systems.
