The master’s thesis deals with the design of an interior solution with its planned furniture elements. It solves the current issue of the seminar rooms of the Department of Industrial Design, Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Ljubljana (UL), at Dolenjska cesta 83 in Ljubljana. As part of the master’s thesis, we tried to provide stakeholders with the best possible user experience while using the department’s interior spaces. At the same time, we took into account a wide range of factors that we detected in the research and analytical phase. We examined the sociological, physiological and design aspects of educational environments, differ enttypes of interior layouts, examples of good practices of furniture elements and their function, and materials used in the furniture industry. We took into account the limitations and needs of the user, which we identified through a series of interviews, debates, observations and a questionnaire. Based on the findings, we designed a family of furniture elements with its several variations and spatial organisation.
