The thesis focuses on the only gay club in Slovenia, the Klub Tiffany, which was established by activists in the former Austro-Hungarian barracks in Ljubljana. The theoretical starting points of the thesis are supported by several years of non-purposeful and several months of purposeful field research and conversations with regular customers of the club. Firstly, the author presents the spatial context of the Klub Tiffany and, relying on the relevant literature, focuses on the dynamics between the space and the individuals who visit the club repeatedly and continuously. In the following, based on his own experience, he analyzes how individuals deal with space and eventually settle in it. With the help of empirical data, he then presents the intertwining of individual and collective experiences of the space and tries to outline the factors that contribute to the fact that regular customers feel at home and safe in the space, and that visiting the club is a source of stability and a weekly habit for them.
