Abstract
Glavni namen diplomskega dela je bil poskus prenosa ameriškega načina gradnje kmetijskih in gospodarskih objektov na slovenska tla, v hribovit predel zahodne Slovenije. V diplomski nalogi je bil na podlagi 3D modela analiziran lesen skeletni objekt dimenzij 14 m × 20 m, sestavljen iz desetih medsebojno povezanih okvirjev. Analiza je bila izvedena s programom SAP2000, kjer je bila na konstrukcijo nanešena obtežba snega, vetra, potresa ter lastna in stalna teža. Na podlagi rezultatov analize je bilo izvedeno dimenzioniranje glavnih elementov konstrukcije in primerjava s podobno konstrukcijo v Ameriki. Ugotovili smo, da je za obravnavano območje, kjer je obtežba snega velika, potrebno spremeniti dimenzije nekaterih najbolj obremenjenih elementov konstrukcije. Pokazali smo, da je tak način gradnje primeren tudi za območje Slovenije, saj lahko zadosti zahtevam Evrokoda.

Title:Design of timber post-frame structure for agricultural purposes
Abstract:
The aim of the study is an attempt to transfer the American construction method for agricultural and commercial buildings to Slovenia. The building is in a hilly region in western Slovenia. In this work, a post frame building with dimensions of 14 m × 20 m, consisting of ten interconnected frames, was analysed using a 3D model. The analysis was carried out using the SAP2000 programme, applying snow, wind, earthquake, self-weight and constant weight loads to the structure. Based on the results of the analysis, the main elements of the structure were dimensioned and compared with a similar structure in America. We found that for the area considered, where the weight of the snow is high, it is necessary to change the dimensions of some of the most heavily loaded elements of the structure. We have shown that this construction method is also suitable for locations in Slovenia, as it can fulfil the requirements of the Eurocode.
