Abstract

Title:
Housing for all - an urban neighbourhood for a sustainable and inclusive community inStožice
Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the current housing problem in Ljubljana, where the key problems are the lack of non-profit and social housing, unaffordability and segregation of certain social classes. One solution is envisaged as the creation of a mixed-income neighbourhood based on the principles of social inclusion, equity, affordability, safety and sustainability. Using examples of good practice from Slovenia and abroad, my thesis tries to define and find the right proportions of the different types of housing provision in a way that creates a community that provides a good quality of life.
