Podkast: motivacije slovenskih neodvisnih ustvarjalcev : diplomsko delo

Diplomsko delo raziskuje slovenske neodvisne ustvarjalce podkastov in poskuša ugotoviti, kaj so glavni faktorji, da so začeli ustvarjanje, kaj jih motivira, da še naprej ustvarjajo, ter kako opredeljujejo svoje ustvarjanje. V diplomskem delu se avtorica najprej osredotoči na radio, saj je podkast nemalokrat opisan in definiran v odnosu z njim. Po pregledu zgodovine radia in njegove rabe preide v obravnavo podkasta, ki ga definira kot konvergiran medij. Teoretični del se zaključi s primerjavo omenjenih medijev in pregleda slovenskih neodvisnih podkastov. Empirični del sloni na raziskavi, opravljeni na podlagi anketnega vprašalnika, na katerega je odgovorilo 53 slovenskih neodvisnih podkasterjev. Raziskava je pokazala, da so glavni razlogi, da so začeli ustvarjati, lastna zabava in izražanje svoje ustvarjalnosti, ki jo delijo z javnostjo. Tisto, kar jih motivira, da nadaljujejo s podkastingom, je dejstvo, da se jim ustvarjanje še vedno zdi zabavno, hkrati pa so strastni o temah, ki jih obravnavajo na svojih podkastih. Glede na to, kako so ustvarjalci opredelili svoje poglede na svoje ustvarjanje, lahko rečemo, da se s hobijem podkastinga ukvarjajo na nivoju polprofesionalca (ang. semi-professional).

• Title: Podcast: motivations of Slovenian independent podcasters

Abstract

The thesis researches Slovenian independent podcast creators and aims to find out what are the main factors that made them start creating, what motivates them to continue creating, and how they see/approach their podcasting. The author first focuses on the radio, since the podcast is often described and defined in relation to it. After reviewing the history of radio and its use, she moves on to the discussion of the podcast, where she first defines this medium and then describes it as a converged medium. She ends the theoretical part with a comparison of the mentioned media and a short overview of Slovenian independent podcasting. The empirical part is based on research conducted on the basis of a survey questionnaire, which was answered by 53 Slovenian independent podcasters. The survey showed that the main reasons are that they started creating their own entertainment and expressing their creativity, which they can share with the public. What motivates them to continue podcasting is the fact that they still find it fun to create and are passionate about the topics they cover on their podcasts. Based on how the creators defined their views on their creation, we can say that they are engaged in the hobby of podcasting at the level of semi-professionals.
