In the thesis we focused on the importance of adequate nutrition of breeding pigs in the different phases of the reproductive cycle. We reviewed professional recommendations and guidelines for feeding pigs, including an overview of the recommended values for individual nutrients and energy requirements in the individual phases. The aim of the work was to evaluate how the nutrition of breeding pigs is organized and adapted to their specific needs in a pilot farm. Using the Zifo2 program, we calculated feed mixtures for breeding pigs in different phases of the reproductive cycle. The calculation of feed rations is crucial for optimal nutrition that supports the health, growth and reproductive capacity of the animals, while at the same time impacting the profitability and sustainability of pig farming. Precise calculations of feed rations ensure a balanced diet that contains all the necessary nutrients in the right proportions. We have calculated the optimal feed ration for waiting and lactating sows, which satisfactorily covers all nutritional values and energy. This improvement underlines that proper nutrition is a key factor for successful and sustainable pig rearing.
