The master's thesis explores the challenges faced by UX/UI design and development teams in their collaboration. The research included a current market analysis, beginning with a self-analysis of the collaboration experience between designers and developers. It continued with an investigation of two common tools for transferring design to development and concluded with in-depth interviews with experts in development and UX/UI design, leading to a better understanding of their practices and needs. Special focus was placed on studying how designers and developers exchange information and design files and how this process impacts the final product. Key findings highlighted the critical role of the Figma community, where designers share their experiences and solutions. The practical part of the research involved designing three workshops in Figma, specially in FigJam. These workshops aimed to strengthen and establish connections between design and development teams and were published in the Figma community. A website named DesignDev Collaboration was created to present the workshop proposals.
