In my paper, I discuss the relationship between humans and nature in form of a comic book. The problem I study is how to communicate ideas through a comic book. I will illustrate my own short story. Comic books are a popular medium, allowing experimentation and one's own artistic expression. I seek to learn as much as possible about its theory and form in order to later experiment with this form.
The comic book consists of two interconnected parts. It tells a story of a young protagonist, who goes on a bus ride. On the crowded and noisy bus, she starts to daydream. Gazing at a cherry blossom, she enters her fantasy world, the forest. In the forest, woodland creatures take her to a little lake, where she observes her own reflection.
The comic book is black and white, drawn using ink and a pen or a brush. The final product will be a booklet in A4-format. Its target audience are younger readers, aged between 12 and 14, and pupils of the third triad of primary school.
