In my bachelor's thesis, I have researched adaptations of literary works into the medium
of comics.
Firstly, I placed comics into the context of the field of illustration. Later on I went into the history
of comics and the role of literary adaptations in it. I looked for the advantages and disadvantages
of comic book adaptations, compared some of them, and in the end I presented my own
approach to the topic.
I decided to adapt the Swedish classic Doctor Glas by author Hjalmar Söderberg from 1905.
Lastly, I evaluated my attempt and approached it critically.
