The municipality of Dobje is a small rural municipality in Kozjansko. They are characterized by lower population density and limited consumption. In addition to traditional activities (agriculture and forestry), employment in accessible urban municipalities, to which Dobje also gravitates, is important for livelihood. The offer of jobs in the municipality is modest, complementary activities on farms are more of an addition than the main form of livelihood. The work is focused on the lifestyle of the rural population. Considerable differences by age group are characteristic. The younger generation has its working environment tied mainly to the neighboring places, while the older generation to the municipality of residence, as their needs and wishes differ.
