The subject of the thesis is the design of a personal grave,
named Hortus Conclusus. The thesis consists of a research phase on cemeteries and tombstones, which forms the basis for the practical work of designing a contemporary function for the tombstone. Hortus Conclusus is a piece of art created from a personal initiative, arising from a desire to question trends, aesthetics, the new era of artificial intelligence, and experimentation. The work involves field research, a review of Slovenian literature on the subject, generating graves with artificial intelligence, coding a website, and engraving a QR code into a stone. The grave is named Hortus Conclusus because the garden is so deeply embedded in the human psyche and symbolizes humanity in eternity. It is a space of encounter, where the invitation to the garden becomes a QR code.
