Abstract
Diplomsko delo s pomočjo primerjalne in interpretativno-analitične metode obravnava tematizacijo prve in druge svetovne vojne v slovenski poeziji.

Title:Comparison of the thematisation of the first and second world war in slovenian poetry
Abstract:
The thesis uses comparative and interpretative-analytical method to examine the portrayal of the First and Second World Wars in Slovenian poetry. For orientation, the historical background of the First and Second World Wars is outlined, the anthologies under discussion are presented and the poets included in them are listed. The material for analyzing poems from the First World War is selected from the anthologies Oblaki so rudeči by Janez Povše and V vojni pokrajini by Marjeta Žebovec. For the depiction of the Second World War, poems from two anthologies, Brez križa in imena by Marija Stanonik and Slovensko pesništvo upora (edited by Boris Paternu et al.), are compared to illustrate two ideological directions. Since the latter anthology is very extensive, the thesis focuses on the first book, which covers partisan poems. The poems are analyzed according to thematic clusters that frequently appear in war-themed poetry: motifs of war life, combat and the battlefield, the motif of death (which is presented in more detail due to it's frequency), and motifs of anxiety, separation, sadness, worry, and the search for solace.
