In my thesis I dealt with taboo themes in Mojca Kumerdej's short narratives, more specifically in the collections Temna snov and Gluha soba. First, I briefly introduced the two collections, and then I explained the meaning of the word taboo and presented the findings of some wellknown anthropologists and psychologists in the field with the help of professional literature.
With the help of literature from the field of youth literature, I discussed taboo themes in literature. Then I explained the taboo themes that were most common in the short narratives – violence, suicide and suicide attempt, homosexuality and homophobia, first with the help of professional literature, and later I analysed them in the selected literature.
