In the thesis we present a proposal for the spatial development of the rural settlements of Černelavci,
Veščica and Kupšinci. We emphasize the role of young people in rural areas, the need to promote selfsufficiency and the importance of supporting local products. The proposal includes the development of
the area through the construction of a new road, the placement of residential buildings, the creation of
green areas and the relocation of an agricultural facility to a more suitable location. These measures will
contribute to the well-being and improve the quality of life of the residents in the settlement in question.
The main aim of this thesis is to propose how spatial planning can attract young families and other young
people to rural areas. In this way, rural settlements would become more attractive and, over time, more
competitive for living and working.
