This thesis presents the design of a storage tank for polystyrene granules that enables the storage of a sufficient quantity of granules to ensure uninterrupted operation of the
polystyrene production line. The design process was based on a conceptual sketch of the storage tank prepared by a supervisor, taking into account the customer's requirements. The design of the equipment frame and the storage tank are presented. All components involved in the construction of the storage tank are specified. The pneumatic system for shaking out the material into the hopper is also presented.
