Abstract
Cilj diplomskega dela je bil raziskati uporabo digitalnih tehnologij med predšolskimi otroki in v procesu raziskovanja odgovoriti na naslednja vprašanja – katere digitalne tehnologije (lahko) predšolski otroci uporabljajo; kako se starši soočajo z reguliranjem teh; kako so različni vzgojni stili povezani z različnimi strategijami posredovanja staršev pri uporabi digitalnih tehnologij ter kakšna sta poznavanje strokovnih smernic na tem področju in odnos staršev do teh. Raziskovanja smo se lotili v dveh fazah – prvo fazo so predstavljali anketni vprašalniki, s katerimi smo lahko določili vzgojne stile staršev, in drugo fazo poglobljeni intervjuji s tremi izbranimi pari staršev, pri čemer je vsak par predstavljal drugačen vzgojni stil. To nas je privedlo do pomembnih zaključkov, ki so razkrili, da so predšolski otroci primarno izpostavljeni televiziji; da permisivni vzgojni stil vodi do večje izpostavljenosti digitalnim tehnologijam, da so smernice o primerni uporabi zaslonov še relativno nepoznane in da starši predšolskih otrok najpogosteje uporabljajo restriktivne strategije posredovanja.

Title:Mediation strategies and adherence to expert recommendations to limit the use of digital technologies among parents of preschool children
Abstract:
The thesis aimed to investigate the use of digital technologies among preschool children, and in the process of research answer the following questions - which digital technologies do preschool children use; how do parents cope with the regulation of these technologies; how are different parenting styles related to different parental mediation strategies in the use of digital technologies, and what is their knowledge of the guidelines in this area and the parents' attitude towards them. The research was conducted in two phases - the first phase consisted of questionnaires to identify parents' parenting styles, and the second phase consisted of in-depth interviews with three selected pairs of parents, each representing a different parenting style. This led us to important conclusions, which revealed that preschool children are primarily exposed to television; that permissive parenting style leads to increased exposure to digital technologies; that guidelines on appropriate screen use are still relatively unknown, and that parents of preschool children most often use restrictive mediation strategies.
