Abstract
V diplomskem delu sem opravljal meritve zvoka v tihih in običajnih študentskih domovih v Rožni dolini. Meritve so bile opravljene v različnih domovih v jutranjih, popoldanskih in večernih urah. Študentska naselja nam ponujajo dva tipa študentskih domov, tihe in navadne. Dovoljena so le prijavljena druženja, največ dvakrat mesečno.

Title:Measuring and Comparing Sound in Quiet and Ordinary Student Residences
Abstract:
In my thesis, I made sound measurements in quiet and normal student residences in Rožna dolina. I used the measurements to determine whether the accommodation in the student residences is favourable or unfavourable for living and learning. The measurements were taken in different halls of residence in the morning, afternoon and evening. The student housing areas offer two types of student halls quiet and ordinary. What distinguishes a quiet dorm from a regular dorm is that parties are not allowed in the dorms. Only registered gatherings are allowed up to twice a month. Based on the data obtained, I have made a comparison between quiet and ordinary halls of residence to determine whether there are differences in the quality of living itself in relation to the level of noise exposure during the day. The comparisons between dormitories showed whether party bans and restrictions on loud socialising and stricter controls to maintain a quiet living environment are sufficient to reduce noise levels compared to ordinary student residences. I have also compared the measured data with current legislation in the fields of construction and occupational health and safety. Since the limit values are exceeded, I have outlined the potential negative effects of noise on people and learning ability. Consequently, I will also propose possible measures to reduce noise in student residencies and to improve the quality of life of students living in these residences.

Keywords:noise, quiet student dormitories, the impact of noise on learning ability, antinoise measures
