Packaging is crucial for businesses entering the market, as it often attracts consumers to purchase. It offers brand recognition and creates the initial connection between the product and the consumer, which is especially important in the fruit juice industry. In this industry, packaging must clearly and attractively display the product's contents, as the colours, images of fruit and the packaging shape strongly influence the perceptions of freshness, quality, and taste.
This thesis aims to investigate the current state of fruit juice packaging in the Slovenian market. We focused on different shapes and materials used for juice packaging and examined current trends in packaging design. These findings were then incorporated into designing packaging for our fruit juice brand.
After conducting an analysis and market research, we designed the visual identity of the brand and its packaging. We first developed the brand identity, followed by the beverage identity. We defined the colour palette, font, logo, and selected fruit flavours. Our focus was on creating a recognizable and attractive look that would attract consumers and clearly represent the values and quality of our brand. Particular emphasis was placed on the ecological aspect, as we want consumers to perceive our brand as environmentally friendly and conscious of current environmental challenges.
The goal of the thesis was to study the materials and offerings of fruit juice packaging in the Slovenian market and to design our line of beverages, from the initial idea to the final product. To this end, we analyzed various types of packaging materials, their properties, and their environmental impact. Based on the findings, we designed our own line of fruit juices, including an attractive and sustainable packaging design. This created a solution that is not only visually appealing but also environmentally friendly, reflecting our awareness of the importance of sustainable development and environmental care.
