Primerjava medkulturnega oblikovanja embalaže nealkoholnih pijač v Južni Koreji in Sloveniji

Abstract
V magistrskem delu smo obravnavali razlike in podobnosti med evropskimi, natančneje slovenskimi, in južnokorejskimi embalažami brezalkoholnih pijač, ter poskusili najti odgovore na vprašanja, kako na oblikovanje embalaže in izbiro potrošnikov in vpliva kultura. Namen raziskave je bil poiskati podobnosti in razlike med slovenskim in južnokorejskim oblikovanjem tovrstnih embalaž ter povezati različne načine oblikovanja v novo dodano vrednost, s tem pa oblikovati končni izdelek, ki bi temeljil na značilnostih južnokorejskega oblikovanja in bi bil primeren za evropski trg. Raziskovalno delo smo začeli z definicijo pomena kulture in njenega vpliva na oblikovanje. Predstavili smo južnokorejsko in slovensko kulturo, njuno gospodarstvo in trg brezalkoholnih pijač. Definirali smo, kaj je embalaža, kakšni materiali se uporabljajo za embalažo brezalkoholnih pijač, kakšni embalažni materiali se uporabljajo v Sloveniji in Južni Koreji ter kakšen je njun odnos do recikliranja odpadkov. Opravili smo pregled in primerjavo trga, poiskali značilnosti južnokorejskih embalaž in razlike med južnokorejskimi in slovenskimi embalažami. Skozi praktični del smo oblikovali ilustracije na etiketah za steklenice sadnih sokov in končni izdelek, ki temelji na značilnostih južnokorejskega oblikovanja in bi bil primeren za evropski trg. Na koncu smo podali razlike v oblikovalskih elementih med obema kulturama.

Title:Comparison of multicultural packaging design of non alcoholic beverages in South Korea and Slovenia
Abstract:
In this master thesis, we looked at the differences and similarities between European, more specifically Slovenian and South Korean, soft drink packaging and tried to answer the questions of how culture influences packaging design and consumer choices. The aim of the research was to find commonalities and differences between Slovenian and South Korean design of this type of packaging and to link the different design methods into a new added value, thus creating a final product based on South Korean design features that would be suitable for the European market. We started our research work by defining the meaning of culture and its impact on design. We introduced South Korean and Slovenian culture, their economies and the soft drinks markets. We defined what packaging is, what materials are used for soft drink packaging in general, what packaging materials are used in Slovenia and South Korea and what their attitudes are towards waste recycling. We carried out a market overview and comparison, looking at the characteristics of South Korean packaging and the differences between South Korean and Slovenian packaging. Through the practical part of the assignment, we designed illustrations on fruit juice bottle labels and a final product based on South Korean design features that would be suitable for the European market. At the end, we presented the differences in design elements between the two cultures.
