The thesis addresses the image of the artist-architect as he appears in the biographical genre and in a selected museum exhibition. The research is based on a developmental outline of the genre of the biography of the artist, where a historical overview is done with a particular focus on the image of the architect and the mythologization of the creative individual and their oeuvre. It is accompanied by the archetypes and myths associated with artists and architects in various historical periods. The second part of the thesis is an analytical look at the museum exhibition Plečnik: Metropola, kraj, vrt, combining museology and literary theory. The presentation of the architect Jože Plečnik in a museum context is based on a morphological analysis of the exhibition space, its communication techniques and the theory of narratology. Finally, the role of the exhibition in shaping public perception and the (de)mythologization of the image of the architect is addressed.
