The master's thesis addresses the concept of club culture as musical theatre in relation to the development of the concept of community - more specifically political, aesthetic and neo-tribal - which, through the performance of aesthetic experience through active participation in a given situation, locates it in the framework of temporality, transience. Community is explained through key aspects of emotional engagement, i.e. the emotiveness and affectivity of the subjects involved, highlighting music as an element of stimulating such sensual states, especially through the concept of repetitiveness. At the very heart of the theatrical experience lies the idea of ritual and repetitiveness, which forms an essential element of the temporary aesthetic community in which the theatrical and club environment intersect. The thesis thus methodically examines areas of contemporary artistic and philosophical practice through the analysis of primary and secondary sources, which are predominantly concerned with exploring the role of audiences in the performing arts, as well as the role of performing elements. All this forms the idea of the »underground theatre«, which the thesis conceptually develops through all these aspects.
