This thesis is exploring the health of the trees on the Jesenkova pot in Ljubljana. The purpose of this study was to determine the agents that cause the diseases onthe trees, describe the symptoms they produce and recommend measures to combat them. In years 2010 and 2011 samples of the infected parts of the plants were gathered on the Jesenkova pot. Subsequently those were microscoped in the Forestry Institute and the causes of the damage were defined by the use of determination keys and phytopathological books. There were determined 25 fungi, of which 15 are parasites and the causes of tree diseases and 10 are saprophytes. On some weakened trees it was not possible to determine the cause, thereforeit was assumed that the damages were produced by other factors.
