Diploma thesis deals the events in the cultural field from the time immediately after the end of the world war II until the autumn of 1945. It is focused on the events in the county Sežana. Firstly are outlined, the political background at the time and the type of administration in the Karst area. This part is chronologically divided into subsections about people's authority until Belgrade Agreement; about Belgrade Agreement and the events that have followed it, about Allied Military Government and about Regional executive national liberation committee of Sežana and local educational sections. This is followed by a description of cultural events, demonstrations and rallies, at which dramatic plays, songs, dances, declamations and speeches were performed. Some of the most interesting, concrete examples are also included. Diploma thesis is enriched by documents, photographs, oral sources of still living witnesses and statistical data.
