The final work deals with the topic of covering and veiling of Muslim women in Slovenia and is based on a review of existing Slovenian research and literature. After reviewing the different types of clothing worn by Muslim women, we focus on how the female authors interpret the covering and veiling in the Qur'an, as well as the different interpretations among Muslim women. The determinants of covering and veiling include a wide range of factors that influence how and why Muslim women choose to practice covering and veiling. Wearing of veils and headscarves in Slovenia presents a free choice, since in Slovenian legislation their use is interpreted as an expression of religious freedom. They can often be exposed to discrimination, prejudice, stereotypes and hate speech. Their integration into society is a complex challenge,
reflecting wider social, cultural and religious processes. They are often exposed to a number of barriers to integration into society, which also depend on the type of covering and veiling.
