Abstract
Težave v duševnem zdravju pri študentkah naraščajo, k čemur je prispevala tudi pandemija koronavirusa. Namen diplomskega dela je odkriti, kakšna podpora je dostopna študentkam Univerze v Ljubljani s težavami v duševnem zdravju. Izvedla sem kvalitativno raziskavo, pri kateri sem s pomočjo delno standardiziranega intervjuja oziroma smernic za intervju izvedla pogovore z desetimi študentkami Univerze v Ljubljani s težavami v duševnem zdravju. Med intervjuvanimi je bilo osem oseb ženskega spola in dve osebi moškega spola. V teoretičnem delu sem povzela opredelitev duševnega zdravja, se osredotočila na najpogostejše oblike duševnih motenj, oblike pomoči, socialno delo na področju duševnega zdravja, stigmo, okrevanje in podporo študentkam. V empiričnem delu sledi predstava pridobljenih podatkov, nato pa poglavje z rezultati in razpravo, v katerem odgovorim na raziskovalna vprašanja. Nadaljujem s sklepi in predlogi. S pomočjo raziskave sem odkrila, da se intervjuvanke najpogosteje soočajo z motnjami hranjenja, depresijo, samopoškodovanjem in anksioznostjo. Do uvida težav so v veliki večini prišle zaradi dolgotrajnosti težav, ki so se pogosto začele že v osnovni šoli. Zaupne osebe intervjuvank so bili po navadi prijatelji. Skozi življenje študentke zaradi težav spremljajo različni telesni in psihološki simptomi, mnogokrat so pri prvih to bolečine v prsih, težave z dihanjem, tresavica, bolečine v trebušni votlini, pri drugih pa pretirano razmišljanje, samomorilne misli, samouničujoče misli, občutki tesnobe in razdražljivost. Oblike pomoči, ki so jih najpogosteje uporabljale, so psihiatrična pomoč, zdravila, psihoterapija, pogovor in psihološka pomoč. O farmakološkem zdravljenju imajo v večini pozitivno mnenje in v večji meri delijo dobre izkušnje. Slaba polovica intervjuvanih je bilo hospitaliziranih. Izpostavljajo visoko finančno obremenitev in dolge čakalne vrste v sklopu dostopnosti oblik pomoči. Poslužujejo se različnih načinov spoprijemanja s težavami, med katerimi največkrat omenjajo šport. Težave tako na vsakdanjik kot na proces študija študentk lahko močno vplivajo. Večina sogovornic nima izkušenj s podporo Univerze v Ljubljani, več kot polovica jih meni, da ta ni dovolj dostopna in razširjena. Vrste podpore, ki so jih uporabile, so svetovanje, psihiater za študente in referat. Skoraj nobena nima lastne izkušnje s stigmatizacijo. S pomočjo raziskave sem ugotovila, da sta potrebna večje ozaveščanje o duševnem zdravju in težavah v povezavi s tem ter povečanje dostopnosti oblik pomoči in podpore.

Title:Support for Students of University of Ljubljana with Mental Health Issues
Abstract:
The mental health of students is increasing, which is also influenced by the coronavirus pandemic. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the types of support available to with mental health problems students at the University of Ljubljana. I conducted a qualitative research with ten students at the University of Ljubljana with mental health problems based on semi-structured interviews or guides. The interviewees included eight females and two males. In the theoretical part, I summarised the definition of mental health and focused on the most common types of mental disorders, forms of support, social work in the field of mental health, stigmatisation, recovery and support for students. The empirical section presents the data collected, followed by a chapter of findings and discussion, in which I answer the research questions. I continue with the findings and suggestions. In my research, I found that respondents most commonly struggled with eating disorders, depression, self-harm and anxiety. Most became aware of their problems due to the long duration of symptoms, which often began in primary school. The interviewees' confidants were usually their friends. Over the course of their lives, students experience various physical and psychological symptoms that can be attributed to mental health problems. Common physical symptoms include chest pain, breathing difficulties, tremors and abdominal pain, while psychologicalsymptoms include excessive thinking, suicidal thoughts, self-destructive thoughts, anxiety and irritability. The most common forms of support utilised by students were psychiatric help, medication, psychotherapy, talking and psychological help. Most have a positive opinion of pharmacological treatment and generally report good experiences. Almost half of the respondents had already been hospitalised. They highlight high financial burdens and long waiting times as the mainto seeking help. Students use various coping strategies, with sport being the most frequently mentioned. Mental health problems can have a significant impact on both daily life and studies. Most students have no experience of support from the University of Ljubljana, and more than half feel that it is not sufficiently accessible or widespread. Support options used by students include counselling services, a student psychiatrist and the student office. Almost no one has had personal experience of stigmatisation. The research shows that there is a need to raiseawareness of mental health and related issues and improve access to support and help.
