Abstract
Iskanje je potekalo v mesecu marcu 2024 v podatkovnih bazah CINAHL, Web of Science in Pub Med. Članke smo iskali s ključnimi besedami v angleškem jeziku. Izbrali smo jih glede na oceno relevantnosti, vključitvene kriterije in oceno kakovosti. Rezultati: Izvedli smo tematsko in deskriptivno analizo. Delovni terapevti izvajajo individualne in skupinske obravnave.

Title:Occupational therapy in cases of domestic violence : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Victims often avoid talking about violence that takes place within the family, but it is important to discuss it openly. There are several forms of violence, which are often intertwined. Victims of domestic violence may face short and longterm consequences that are reflected in their mental and physical health. Occupational therapy interventions focus on performing daily activities, managing anger, promoting health, and learning strategies for coping with stress. Purpose: Analyze relevant studies and find out what is known so far about occupational therapy for domestic violence against women and children. Methods: A literature review was carried out. The search was conducted in March 2024 in the CINAHL, Web of Science and Pub Med databases. Articles were searched using keywords in English. We selected them according to the relevance score, inclusion criteria and quality score. Results: We carried out thematic and descriptive analysis. Based on the thematic analysis of the articles, we identified three main themes: the most common problems of women and children victims of domestic violence, occupational therapy treatment and the lack of training of occupational therapists, and we also identified their sub-themes. Discussion and conclusion: Women and children who have been victims of domestic violence face difficulties in participating in daily activities, caring for themselves, social interaction, play, emotional regulation and leisure management. Occupational therapy is crucial in helping people to resume their activities of daily living. Occupational therapists provide individual and group treatment. In addition to violence treatment, occupational therapy is also involved in prevention activities such as violence education, the development of safe plans to leave violent environments and the promotion of financial independence. We have found that the role of occupational therapy is crucial in the treatment of women and children who have experienced domestic violence, but there is a notable lack of formal training in this area.
