The thesis focuses on the integration of photovoltaic (PV) modules into green building envelope systems (green roofs, walls, and façades) and the synergistic effects of these two technologies. In this study, we explored existing green building technologies and photovoltaic modules, and we analyzed solutions for integrating PV modules into green roof and wall systems. Our findings indicate that the proper placement of PV modules within green building components enhances the energy efficiency of buildings, primarily due to the cooling effect of the vegetation, which improves the performance of the PV modules. The combination of green roofs with PV modules is better researched and more commonly implemented in practice compared to the integration of PV modules with green walls, where research is scarce, and market solutions for installation are either limited or nearly non-existent.
