Abstract
V diplomskem delu se osredotočam na vlogo šolskih svetovalnih delavk in delavcev, zaposlenih v osnovni šoli, pri otrocih, ki doživljajo nasilje v družini. S tematiko nasilja v družini sem se prvič srečala v okviru prakse, ki sem jo opravljala v eni izmed osnovnih šol, kar me je pritegnilo, da o tem še dodatno raziščem. V teoretičnem delu sem najprej opredelila šolsko svetovalno službo in predstavila njene naloge ter cilje. Nato sem opredelila nasilje v družini ter naštela in definirala oblike nasilja v družini. Zatem sem se osredotočila na delovanje šolske svetovalne službe na področju nasilja v družini, kjer sem opisala, kako prepoznati nasilje v družini pri otroku in kako poteka obravnava otrok v osnovni šoli, ki doživljajo nasilje v družini. Pri tem sem se še posebej osredotočila na pogovor z otrokom. Teoretični del sem zaključila z izobraževanji in izpopolnjevanji šolskih svetovalnih delavk in delavcev na področju nasilja v družini. V empiričnem delu sem predstavila rezultate raziskave in ugotovitve, do katerih sem prišla s pomočjo opravljenih intervjujev s šolskimi svetovalnimi delavkami v osnovnih šolah. Skozi intervjuje sem želela predvsem ugotoviti, kako šolske svetovalne delavke in delavci pri otrocih prepoznajo nasilje v družini, kakšne so njihove izkušnje pri postopku obravnave otrok z izkušnjo nasilja v družini, kako opolnomočene se počutijo pri izvajanju pogovora z otrokom z izkušnjo nasilja v družini in na kakšen način se delavci v šolski svetovalni službi izobražujejo na področju nasilja v družini. Spoznala sem, da je delo šolskih svetovalnih delavk in delavcev na področju nasilja v družini izredno pomembno ter hkrati zahtevno. Sogovornice so z menoj podelile pozitivne kot tudi negativne izkušnje ter izzive, s katerimi se soočajo pri svojem delu z otroki, ki imajo izkušnjo nasilja v družini. Na podlagi odgovorov in predlogov, ki so jih izrazile sogovornice, sem na koncu diplomskega dela napisala nekaj predlogov, ki bi lahko dodatno opolnomočili šolske svetovalne delavke in delavce v osnovnih šolah, kadar sodelujejo z otroki, ki doživljajo nasilje v družini.

Title:The role of school counselling service in primary school for children who have experienced domestic violence
Abstract:
In the graduation thesis, I focus on the role of school counsellors employed in the primary school in relation to children experiencing domestic violence. I first encountered the topic of domestic violence as part of my internship at one of the primary schools, which attracted me to investigate it further. In the theoretical part, I first defined the school counselling service and presented its tasks and objectives. Then I defined domestic violence and listed and defined its forms. I then focused on the work of the school counselling service in the field of domestic violence, describing how to recognise domestic violence in a child and how primary school children who experience domestic violence are handled. In doing so, I focused particularly on the conversation with the child. I finished the theoretical part with education and training of school counsellors in the field of domestic violence. In the empirical part, I presented the results of the research and the findings I had drawn from interviews with school counsellors in primary schools. Through the interviews, I wanted to find out how school counsellors recognise domestic violence in children, what their experience is of the process of dealing with children with experience of domestic violence, how empowered they feel in conducting a conversation with a child with experience of domestic violence, and how the school counsellors are educated in the area of domestic violence. I have learned that the work of school counsellors in the field of domestic violence is extremely important and challenging. The interviewees shared with me their positive and negative experiences and the challenges they face in their work with children experiencing domestic violence. Based on the responses and suggestions expressed by the interviewees, I wrote some suggestions at the end of the thesis that could further empower school counsellors in primary schools when working with children experiencing domestic violence.
