Most people spend at least a part of their day at work. It is important for us to feel good and satisfied at our workplace, which is influenced by various factors of the work environment. The purpose of this thesis was to determine, through a survey method in selected organizations, whether employees are satisfied with the factors of the work environment at their workplace. Based on this data, it was then determined and analysed, which factors have room for improvement, and based on this, suggestions for improvements were made.
The research found that employees in the organizations are generally satisfied with the factors of the work environment. A comparison of two organizations showed greater satisfaction in the second organization. The research results indicate that employees in both organizations are most satisfied with workplace relationships and the least satisfied with the adequacy of workplace conditions (temperature, humidity, spaciousness etc.) and opportunities for promotion and education. Therefore, measures and improvements in these areas are recommended.
