With the expansion of the company, it is also necessary to manage the expansion of the complexity of the processes. Based on the literature analysis, we introduced the 6S lean method in the company, the main task of which is the organization of the workplace with an emphasis on safety, thereby reducing losses and eliminating processes which do not add value to the product. The main steps of the 6S method are: sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain and saftey.
With the help of the audit, we carried out an assessment of the existing situation before and after the introduction of the 6S method and the introduction of suggestions for improvements. The results showed that the workplaces are more organized and clean after implementing the suggestions, which leads us to saving a lot of time that employees previously spent on finding the tools and objects that were unorganized and non-standardized, and above all, the working environment is significantly safer than in the previous state.
