The thesis describes the communication between the systems in a vehicle and communication between a vehicle and its environment.
The introduction describes the first vehicle and its history. The second chapter focuses how a vehicle is connected to its surroundings and communication V2X, which brought a revolutionary change to the communication vehicle-environment.
The third chapter describes, how a vehicle collects data, which type of data and where it is sent. The fourth chapter describes the main communication protocols: CAN, LIN, MOST, FlexRay and Ethernet. Because the safety of protocols is very important, the fifth chapter introduces different types of attacks on a vehicle and how to defend against them.
The sixth chapter focuses on the influence of artificial intelligence. It also mentions how AI makes driving conditions easier and safer for drivers and others in traffic.
The aim of the thesis is to present basic communication methods between the systems in a vehicle and the communication between vehicles and their environment. Being aware of the potential attacks and vehicle vulnerabilities can help us make our vehicles more safe and secure.
