In companies, several machines in the production line are often assembled into an automated machine system in order to optimise processes. A machine system consisting of several machines that have already received a declaration of conformity is faced with the problem of obtaining both a declaration of conformity and a CE marking for the machine system. The master's thesis presents the aforementioned problem, the SIST EN ISO 12100 standard with the essential health and safety requirements for machinery, the methodology and the solution to the problem arising from the situation that the assembler of the machine system has the status of a machine manufacturer and must therefore fulfil all the safety-related obligations that the manufacturers of the individual machines have. This applies both to machine systems assembled for the market and for own use.
