Abstract
V diplomskem delu sem določila inhalacijsko biodostopnost svinca v nekaterih okoljsko relevantnih kemijskih zvrsteh svinca in v izbranih realnih okoljskih vzorcih, ki vsebujejo povišane koncentracije svinca.

Title:Inhalation bioaccessibility of lead chemical species
Abstract:
Pollution with potentially toxic elements (PTE) has become a serious problem in recent decades. The release of PTE dust particles into the atmosphere and soil threatens human health and lead is one of the more dangerous elements. In my bachelor's thesis, I determined the inhalation bioaccessibility of lead in some environmentally relevant chemical lead species and in selected real environmental samples with elevated lead concentrations. An artificial lysosomal solution (ALF) was used as an extraction agent. The impact of exposure of selected chemical lead species to an environment with increased moisture content on the chemical changes of the samples and consequently on their bioaccessibility was also studied. The bioaccessibility of lead in the investigated chemical species is not high, but it was increased in samples previously aged in a chamber with a constant humidity. The inhalation bioaccessibility of lead in selected environmental samples is also high. By XRD analysis, the appearance of new crystalline species was detected on the diffractograms of the chemical lead species after ageing in a chamber with constant humidity only in the case of PbO sample. In the SEM images, a change in morphology can be observed in all samples, while the EDS analysis revealed a change in the elemental composition in the PbO and PbS samples.
